Thinking About Relocating?

We're genuinely glad you're considering joining us. Before you make any decisions, we want to give you an honest picture of what to expect, and how we can help.

Before you pack

We want you here; we want you prepared.

Over the past few years, we've been encouraged to know that many families are relocating to be part of reformed covenant communities. Many faithful families are now willing to uproot and plant somewhere new for the sake of a healthy church.

Relocation is serious. It affects your family, your livelihood, your children, and your extended relationships. We take that seriously, and we want you to as well.

If you do decide to come, know that we will do everything in our power to welcome and integrate you. We will be glad you're here.

Before you decide — please consider:

Have a work planCome with employment secured or a realistic path to it. We are a working-class covenant community; we are a people of production.
Research the housing marketThe cost of living is high. Come with proper preparation. We will help where we can, but we cannot carry the weight of poor planning.
Arrive in peaceIf you are leaving a difficult situation, as much as it depends on you, resolve it before you come. Bitterness and unfinished relational baggage travel with you.
Visit firstCome visit for a month. Meet the elders. Eat with our families. Make sure this is the right fit before you burn the boats.
Have realistic expectationsWe are an ordinary congregation of redeemed sinners. We will disappoint you in some ways, as you will us. Such is covenant life; it is still very good.

An honest word about covenant community.

Relocation may go wonderfully. Families who plan carefully, come expectantly, and integrate humbly become some of the most faithful and fruitful members of their congregation.

It may go poorly: when families arrived expecting a perfect church, a ready-made social life, or a solution to troubles that followed them from home.

The local church is worth sacrificing for. But sacrifice has to be rightly ordered. If God is calling your family to covenant with us, He will also order your work, your housing, and your relationships to make it possible. Pray, plan, and come ready to serve, not just receive.

What we can offer
Pastoral care; covenant community; hospitality; a body of people who will pray for your family, and walk alongside you through difficulty and joy.
What we cannot offer
Employment guarantees; housing assistance beyond what members can personally offer; a church without weakness, or human imperfection.
What we ask of you
Come ready to serve; humbly; with a plan; having told your current elders; And come — if God is indeed calling you — with joyful expectancy.
